We pull the Walk Score for any US address from the official Walk Score API and surface the Transit Score and Bike Score alongside it. Walk Score is one of the most reliable single signals for home-value durability — homes in 70+ Walk Score zones have lower price volatility and faster resale than car-dependent equivalents in the same metro.

How to read the score

90-100 "Walker's Paradise" — daily errands don't require a car (Manhattan, downtown SF, Brooklyn Heights).
70-89 "Very Walkable" — most errands on foot (Palo Alto downtown, North Berkeley, Austin's Zilker).
50-69 "Somewhat Walkable" — mix; some errands on foot (Sunnyvale's Murphy Ave area).
25-49 "Car-Dependent" — most errands by car (suburban Cupertino, most of San Jose).
0-24 "Car-Dependent (almost)" — everything requires a car (rural / exurban).
